The camera does not turn on: faulty battery? charger not working?

I have a Sony Cyber-shot digital camera and it worked well for a few 2 years. Nowadays, when taking photos, I have a battery icon that I had never seen before: it was black with a slash through it. Soon afterwords, the camera turns off by itself. I figured that the batteries are running low, so recharge the battery with the charger as usual. After a few hours, I get batteries inside the camera, but the camera still does not work. Sometimes the screen turns on then goes away, other times not turn on at all. So what think is wrong? Bad battery? Bad battery charger? Or something wrong with the camera itself? Thanks in advance.

Try a couple of different things to reduce. The symbol appeared on the camera sounds like it usually represents battery. However, it could be a problem with wiring or terminal inside the camera that keep you from getting enough power from their batteries. If your camera has AA batteries could be that your re-rechargeable batteries should be replaced as well maybe pick up a set of high-power lithium (single use) batteries in the store and try them. If the camera works, you know that not a fault with the camera. If this is the case, then we must determine whether the fault of the battery or charger. You could buy a new set of rechargeable batteries and check that load correctly. If they do, the old batteries, if not, may be the shipper. If you find that the fault of the camera, you can try cleaning the terminals inside the battery compartment of your camera with a cotton swab or take her to a specialist shop where you can solve the problem for you or isolate the problem.
